A tragic accident may have occurred in St. Peter am Hart. On Tuesday, the body of a 73-year-old woman was found in a pond at a private home. “An acquaintance of the woman became concerned after he could not locate her and drove to the private home. There he found his friend lifeless in a pond of water lilies. The emergency doctor was notified immediately, but unfortunately he could only determine the death of the woman, “said Alois Ebner, spokesman for the Ried prosecutor’s office, when asked by the OÖN on Wednesday.
“Due to the external location of the tracks, we assume that the woman slipped on a relatively steep stair leading to the pond. A slipper was found on the stairs, ”says Ebner. It can be assumed that the woman should have fallen into the pond on Monday.
The Ried prosecutor’s office ordered an autopsy on the body, the result is still pending. “There is no evidence of violence, so we go currently with a high probability of a tragic accident, ”says Ebner.
