A 44-year-old man first attacked a demonstration at the Lerchenfelder Gürtel in Vienna-Ottakring on Friday afternoon, which was directed “against racist police checkpoints”. Then the police began to intervene.

When the recipients appeared on the scene for the woman’s attacks, their aggression was directed against the officials. She attacked the uniformed men with kicks and punches, but was arrested anyway.

Demo interrupted by beer can tossed and police officers injured

The fact that some 30 people had gathered for the rally at the Lerchenfelder Gürtel did not please the 44-year-old and some of his colleagues, who spoke to alcohol at a nearby metro station. They interrupted the protest by shouting and throwing beer cans. Then they were rejected, but did not obey, but continued to bother. Officials from the reserve unit were called in to determine the identities of the interferers. The 44-year-old woman became increasingly aggressive until police arrested her under heavy resistance. Two officers were injured by the beatings and kicks and could not continue with their duties.
