In the late afternoon on Thursday, the groups for the 2020/2021 Champions League season were drawn in Geneva. Neither group turned out to be a group of the dead, but there will still be interesting encounters.

Reigning champion FC Bayern Munich will face Atlético de Madrid, Red Bull Salzburg and Lokomotiv Moscow in Group A. Three Bayern players were also able to experience the draw first-hand, with the presence of Manuel Neuer (best goalkeeper ), Joshua Kimmich (best defender) and Robert Lewandowski (best forward). Hansi Flick as best coach was also present.

In Group B, Real Madrid face Inter Milan, Shakthar Donetsk and Borussia Mönchengladbach. Atalanta entered group D and will face Jürgen Klopps Liverpool, Ajax Amsterdam and Midtjylland (Denmark).

Ronaldo vs Messi in Gruppe G

In the G-Gruppe there is a clash between the best footballers of today. There, Juventus meets superstar Cristiano Ronaldo at FC Barcelona with the magic flea Lionel Messi. Dynamo Kiev and Ferencvaros have the honor (or bad luck) to also play against the two exceptional players.

Borussia Dortmund have a more than feasible group with Zenit St. Petersburg, Lazio Roma and Club Brugge, as do Manchester City in Group C with FC Porto, Olympiacos Piraeus and Olympique Marseille as clear favorites in the group.

Group H will probably be the best quality group. There, two of last year’s semi-finalists, defending champions Paris Saint-Germain and RB Leipzig, are her husband, as well as traditional clubs Manchester United and Istanbul Basaksehir.

Robert Lewandwoski is UEFA Player of the Year

After the draw, the best player of the season was chosen. Robert Lewandowski received this award after an explosive season at FC Bayern, which was capped with a triple.
