Wirecard: Marsalek fled Bad Vöslau to Minsk by private jet

Local inspection. At Bad Vöslau airfield, officially, nothing was noticed that a suspected fraudster in southern Vienna is said to have fled to Belarus. Employees on site do not want to speak to KURIER, and managing director Gerhard Erschnig also does not want to comment on Wednesday morning, referring to the press officer at Vienna airport, Peter Kleemann.

Kleemann cannot confirm that a plane took off for Minsk on June 19, nor that Marsalek was on board, which was theoretically possible, but neither does he rule it out. Consequently, private flights would basically operate according to the same scheme as scheduled flights. The airfield only provides the ground infrastructure. Then, the flight is booked by the individual with the airline that makes the aircraft, the pilot and the crew available and also prepares the official steps, such as border and passport control.

This is where it gets interesting, because the airline operating in this case is said to be Jet X Aviation Services (see above). In KURIER’s conversation, the managing director closed for privacy reasons, but emphasized that any transportation on the rumored date would have been completely legal, as Marsalek was not registered at the time. In addition, the authority would be responsible for document control. They have been confirmed to have a Cessna Citation Mustang 510 in their fleet.

Aircraft enthusiasts will find themselves in the airport cafeteria “Check In”, whose terrace overlooks the runways. They hear for the first time that a senior manager on the run should have come on board nearby. But it wouldn’t be unusual for business people to take off here, so it’s conceivable.
