Wilfried Haslauer: Events in Salzburg forced us to take action. Until two and a half weeks ago, we were always among the three federal states with the fewest infections. Since then, the number has multiplied by six. Now we are at 180, 190 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants. Given this dynamic, it was clear that we had to do something, otherwise we would not grasp it more.
They pushed for a curfew, sent high school students to classes at home and banned events in badly affected Tennengau. Should other federal states follow suit?
