Precautionary measures are tightened at Wiener Neustädter Herrengasse. A maximum of 500 visitors are allowed on the party mile, and all must register by name.

Following the recent case of a waiter working in a bar in Wiener Neustädter Herrengasse who tested positive for Covid-19, precautionary measures are increased. According to the city council, guests from the respective restaurants on the party mile must register by name on Wednesday afternoon. This should make contact tracing possible.

500 guests at Herrengasse

According to a broadcast, the city invited restaurateurs to speak on Wednesday. New measures have been jointly developed to curb the spread of the corona virus. This includes that employees at all Herrengasse restaurants are now subject to a weekly test. Also, the number of guests that can be on the party mile at the same time is “strictly limited to 500,” according to the city council.

Particular attention should also be paid to the minimum distance of one meter to other groups of guests. The measure introduced in July, according to which a fever measurement is made to each guest at the entrance, remains in force.
