It’s done: the top title favorite Novak Djokovic was eliminated from the tournament with his disqualification, and Dominic Thiem himself is getting better and better at the 2020 US Open. The next hurdle in the quarterfinals is Alex de Miñaur (around 3 am CET on the LIVE or LIVE ticker on ServusTV).

No pressure: Due to the corona pandemic, Flushing Meadows is almost like a ghost town. In the final phase, there are only a few people in the system. The lack of hustle and bustle is certainly not a disadvantage for Thiem, who is now in the favorite position for his debut title.

Daniil Medvedev Supreme Form: Last year’s finalist stormed the US Open quarterfinals in impressive fashion. Unlike Thiem, the Russian convinced from the first lap. In 2019 he briefly had a hand in the cup in the final against Rafael Nadal. This year it seems ready for the next step.
