We tested it: antigen test in Innsbruck – quick and easy

[ad_1]

Even if many have expected the measures to be relaxed, there isn’t much that stands in the way of a peaceful Christmas party. Free antigen tests are well received by the population.

INNSBRUCK. A broadcast from the state of Tyrol shows how popular the free antigen test is. From Sunday December 19 (start of the free trial option) until noon today (December 22), 57,000 registrations were recorded throughout Tyrol; there is also great interest in on-site inspection at the Olympiaworld in Innsbruck.
As it gets closer, it is already clear where to go. At Olympiaworld, pedestrians flock to a young woman wearing a safety vest and mask. The delegate forwards people to the next delegate, who again sends everyone to the tables where the country employees scan the code.
A prerequisite for the Tirol state free trial option is registration on the Tirol-Testet website. As a result, you can choose from the dates that are still available: morning or afternoon. Pre-Christmas dates are in high demand and some of them are already full.

Access only with reservation code

You then get an access code on the mobile phone, which is ultimately the “entry ticket” for the test. After getting a piece of paper with your name and another code in hand, go left into the great room, where the chairs are stacked and red and white separating ribbons show the way. People sit in a row on chairs, masked employees in blue protective suits leaning over them and poking their noses with a long cotton swab. They are designed for professional mass processing. The procedure itself is not particularly pleasant and feels exactly what it looks like: someone sticks a long stick up your nostril, you see stars briefly, the person doing the test wiggles your nose a few times, and then the saliva is gone. You can still see the chopsticks rubbing on the control panel, the people next to you blowing their noses, putting their masks back on, and walking out of the hallway teary-eyed and still very happy. As soon as you are home, you can view the test on your mobile phone: Your antigen test is NEGATIVE. If everything was as quick and smooth in the world of red tape as this test method, you certainly wouldn’t mind.

Tyrol state transmission to antigen testing – many resident doctors also perform testing

As of 1:15 pm today, around 57,000 people have registered for a free antigen test in Tyrol. Almost 20,000 people have already been tested, so far 95 positive tests have been recorded.

Given the great interest of the population for free antigen tests, Elmar Rizzoli, head of the CORONA working group and the “Tests of Tirol” campaign, once again points out the possibility that the tests are carried out by resident doctors: 330 doctors in all Tyrolean districts are available as part of the ‘Tirol tests’ campaign to perform antigen tests. If the desired date for the test on the selected test route or the test bus is no longer available, we ask those affected to contact the resident physicians in their area to schedule an appointment to participate in the campaign. Alternatively, another date can be selected at the nearest test station ”. On behalf of the working group, Rizzoli wishes to express her appreciation to the participating physicians.

An overview of all participating resident physicians by district can be viewed at www.tiroltestet.at. You can register for the test through the respective ordinations during their individual opening hours.
