One billion euros. This is the price of Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in North London. The venerable White Hart Lane had to give in. It is the most impressive setting that WAC players, coaches and staff have seen in their careers. Immediately after entering the building for the first time, they pulled out cell phones to take souvenir photos. Coach Ferdinand Feldhofer Meanwhile, he took a tour of the monster in the training booth, where he can prepare for today’s closing meeting. The mood during the final workout was characterized by anticipation and relaxation. No one can be unhappy in a workplace like this. The two billboards alone would fill much of the Lavanttal Arena’s main booth. Part of the stadium roof is accessible. The Hotspurs landmark, the rooster, dominates the arena. Natural grass can sink into the ground and be changed to artificial grass or optionally a football field as soon as the NFL makes a stop in Europe.

The arena is also home to the largest cabin ever built by Torsten Lenart, Anton Rossmann and Bernhard Tatschl has been loaded. “It’s crazy. It’s a completely different league. The biggest we’ve ever seen,” say the three assistants without thinking about it. Lenart, in particular, is living his dream as the youngest of the trio. During the holidays in Lignano’s cell phone rang at the head of the Wolfsfront. The manager was on the line. Markus PerchthalerI was just looking for a kit manager. “I didn’t hesitate for long and immediately said yes,” says Lenart. Work in the Wolfsberg community couldn’t even come close to keeping up. From fan to man for everything in just a few seconds.

Work began on the trip to London after Sunday’s storm game. Wash, load boxes and get ready for the airport. It has never gone well there. “It doesn’t matter which country, it doesn’t matter which airport, something always goes wrong”says Tatschl. In Moscow there were problems with the visa, in London a conveyor belt went on strike. 70 pairs of shoes, hundreds of kilograms of training clothes, towels, massage tables, medical equipment and food go on a trip in 16 metal boxes.

Rossmann, who has been with us since 2000, also has a ritual set in his luggage for victories. “First the captain yells and then I yell ‘Jaaaaaa’ once for every goal and jump to the ground,” says Rossmann, who has only missed two games at the club in two decades. Once he was ill, the other time his daughter married. Tottenham Stadium will be remembered in one form or another forever. “Hopefully I can scream in this cabin again,” says Rossmann.
