In a Group J match that was insignificant for the promotion, LASK beat Bulgarian club Ludogorez Rasgrad 3-1 3-1. The victory only gave Upper Austria third place in the group. The deciding factor was the bitter 2-0 home defeat in the fourth round against Royal Antwerp. The Belgians finished second behind group winners Tottenham Hotspur, two points ahead of LASK.
Rasgrad took the lead thanks to Elvis Manu (46th), who had already scored three goals in the first leg in Linz. But LASK turned the game around with shots from Philipp Wiesinger (56th), Rene Renner (61st / penalty) and Mads Emil Madsen (66th).
