La Verein gegen Tierfabriken (VGT) has evidence that a farmer applied liquid manure from the valley at an altitude of 2000 meters in an alpine pasture with steep slopes.
Increasingly, fertilizer is spreading from the valley into high alpine grasses on sensitive alpine soils, leading to soil acidification, the VGT reported in a transmission. The manure is sprayed almost 60 meters over large areas and steep slopes at high pressure. The use of concentrated feed in dairy cows leads to complete overfertilization.
The VGT now has photo and film recordings of such an expanse of valley liquid manure in an alpine pasture. At 2000 meters above sea level, manure is sprayed directly on steep slopes. The VGT has filed a complaint in accordance with the Water Law Law and other legal matters.
