In the Dornbirn and Bludenz districts, championship games for combat teams and youth could be suspended for the time being.

Everything has been announced in some way: Vorarlberg amateur football is going through very difficult times! Due to the increasing number of infected people in the districts of Dornbirn and Bludenz, the crown traffic light was changed to orange. That does not bode well for amateur football in these two regions and could be temporarily paralyzed.

Relocate places?

However, it is quite possible that games that are not allowed in these two regions will start with the opponent in Bregenzerwald, the Bregenz region or in the Oberland, that is, districts or communities that are in “yellow” or “green” . Youth and women’s football are also affected in the Dornbirn and Bludenz districts. The games can still be played in the Bregenz, Bregenzerwald and Oberland districts. Therefore, improvisation will be the order of the day for the Lower House as of next weekend.

Rüscher to football

Health Councilor Martina Rüscher was a guest student at “Vorarlberg heute” at ORF on Tuesday evening. There, Rüscher said that the recommendations for soccer matches had changed on short notice. You can also play soccer at the orange traffic light in the crown. Sports with physical contact should only be canceled if the physical contact cumulatively lasts more than 15 minutes, according to the regional advisor. A sport like wrestling would be affected, but not soccer.

Open questions

After the “Corona traffic lights” were changed to yellow or orange in the corresponding districts and areas of Vorarlberg and the associated measures, there are of course still some questions about the continuation of the game operations at the Vorarlberg Football Association . On Wednesday morning, those responsible for the VFV will discuss the additional procedure in a meeting.

Clubs should be briefed on the current situation and how to proceed by Wednesday (September 16, 2020).
