Consequently, a man wearing a safety helmet entered the Shell gas station in the Schallmoos district of Salzburg on Thursday at around 8.15pm. When alone with the 54-year-old store clerk, he put a green cloth bag on the counter and asked for cash back, police described the incident.
The thief apologizes several times
The employee noticed a black object on the culprit’s waist. He must have thought it was a weapon. Then the 54-year-old man emptied the cash register. At the same time, the thief is said to have apologized several times with the words “Sorry, I need the money.” The gas station employee, who was not injured, handed the perpetrator a small amount of four-digit money in a cloth bag.
The attacker flees with the loot after being attacked.
After the attack, the man fled in the direction of Salzburg-Nord. Probably fled on foot. Police launched an alarm search, which was unsuccessful until Friday morning.
