An assassination plot surrounding a family dispute takes place in early October in Upper Austria. The Vöcklabruck district was discovered. A 29-year-old had offered 10,000 euros to a 23-year-old if he left a 21-year-old in a coma. If he killed him or took him to a place where the 29-year-old could assassinate him, he would receive 20,000 euros.
At the beginning of February of the previous year, there was a bloody argument between two Macedonian families in a pub in the same district. Several people were seriously injured. The 29-year-old’s brother was killed in a knife attack, for which he blamed the 21-year-old, police report.

At the next court hearing in early September 2019, the then 20-year-old was also considered the prime suspect, as announced by spokeswoman for the Wels prosecutor, Barbara Rumplmayr, at the request of the APA. A lay judge sentenced him to 30 months, 10 of which were unconditional. Since he had already served two-thirds of the time in preventive detention, he was immediately released on parole.
Assassination plans and threats
In mid-September 2020, the 29-year-old is said to have offered the 23-year-old compatriot the money for the criminal acts at a bar in the Vöcklabruck district. According to Rumplmayr, the person he was addressing was not a family member, but should have come from a circle of friends. A 22-year-old present threatened to kill him if the person recruited for the attack became friends with the alleged fratricide or informed him of the plot.
The recruiter goes to the police
The 23-year-old went to police on October 4 and told officers about the plot that the 29-year-old had apparently faked. After extensive investigations, the 29-year-old was arrested on October 8 and the 22-year-old on October 15 by order of the Wels prosecutor. The defendants were held in Wels Prison.
