The Vivaldi browser is appreciated by many for its customization options, so far, however, only on computers. The browser is now also available for Android smartphones.
After a beta testing phase of several months, the Vivaldi browser now represents Android smart phones and tablets are available. Like its desktop counterpart, it offers users a tracking blocker and many other privacy settings.
At the top of the screen, the mobile browser also presents open pages as tabs, as is customary from the desktop. Everyone can decide for themselves whether this clarity or so much display area is more important and disable the tabs.
The Vivaldis Tracking Blocker receives information on what data traffic it is supposed to avoid from the search engine provider Duckduckgo, which also brings the privacy of its users to the fore. Vivaldi now also uses this tracking blocker data for PCs and laptops, version 3.0 of which was released at the same time as the Android version.
Another innovation in the desktop browser is a clock in the status bar, which offers an alarm function and a countdown, which should help, for example, keep track of screen pauses. Vivaldi is based on Chromium, the same core software that also works in Google’s Chrome browser.
