A mentally disabled woman is said to have devastated the terror monument in the center of Vienna. Police were able to investigate and question the 56-year-old man.

After the devastation of the memorial site for the victims of the attack in central Vienna, a suspect was arrested on Monday. “A 56-year-old woman who is likely to be mentally disabled was investigated and questioned. This gave confusing information over the course of the interrogation, but confirmed that she had kicked candles and left,” police said on the short message service Twitter

According to the police, a statement of the facts was sent to the Vienna Public Prosecutor. “The Inner City Police Department is also initiating administrative criminal proceedings on suspicion of disorderly conduct,” he said.
