The police are currently investigating the origin of the weapons that the Vienna attacker carried with him in the November 2 attack in the city center.

On November 2, several bystanders were killed by a 20-year-old in the terrorist attack in Vienna. During the large-scale police operation, the killer was “neutralized” after a few minutes in the city center at Ruprechtsplatz 1 and his weapons were seized.

Investigators assume that the assault rifle is a “Zastava M70”. The firearm is made in Serbia and is based on the technology of the Kalashnikov assault rifle (AK-47 and AKM) and shoots the 7.62 × 39mm caliber.

In the photos published by the Police, a pistol, a machete and ammunition in abundance could also be seen. Investigations into the seized weapons, in particular their origin, are in full swing.
