The HC team is unlikely to come to the municipal council, but it is certain that it will have some seats on the district council. Heinz-Christian Strache now announces that he cannot imagine a future as a district councilor.
VIENNA. In an interview with News magazine, Heinz-Christian Strache took a position for the first time on the question of whether he could imagine working in a district representation, and answered with a resounding no.
“I myself, of course, will remain a political person, but I certainly will not be a district councilor, but will support future district councilors from Strache’s team whenever I can,” he says in News. Rather, he wants to strengthen his party’s future work in the media by founding his own online magazine. He is also planning discussion events. Tonight a board meeting will discuss how things will go with the HC Team, as well as Strache’s future plans.
It is possible to move to 16 district representatives
According to the extrapolation of the result of the municipal council, the HC team is currently 3.6 percent and most likely it will not achieve it; the bar for this is 5 percent. It is not necessary to reach a minimum number of percentages for district representatives, here the HC team could go out in 16 districts based on current projections.
