With the “Licht ins Dunkel” fundraising campaign, ORF is once again supporting families in need this year. The city of Vienna is back on board this year.
The Christmas tree is at the center of all Christmas celebrations: Unfortunately, unpacking gifts under a lighted and decorated tree does not come naturally for all children and families.
At the traditional Christmas gala “Licht ins Dunkel” on December 24, the trees of the Viennese forests create a Christmas flair in the studio. “It is an honor for the city of Vienna to be able to provide the Christmas trees for ‘Licht ins Dunkel’,” says Environment Councilor Jürgen Czernohorszky, who was able to present the first Christmas tree to ORF presenter Eva Pölzl a few days ago .
“The forestry and agricultural company of the city of Vienna supports the program with 50 Christmas trees felled in the moon phase, which have grown almost on the doorstep of the ORF center and can therefore be delivered in a climate-friendly way without long journeys, “adds forestry director Andreas Januskovecz.
