# 12 community buildings
500,000 people live in 220,000 apartments in the 2,300 municipal buildings in Vienna. The first was the Metzleinstalerhof. It is located at Margaretengürtel 90–98 and was built between 1916 and 1925.
# 13 Citizen participation
Last year, the city council petitions committee approved 26 petitions. Citizens have the opportunity to use this instrument to raise specific concerns with the city council. 500 signatures are required for this.

The startup scene is booming. But the majority of young entrepreneurs fail in Vienna: 34.5 per cent of companies in Austria fail before their fourth birthday, 40 per cent of them are from Vienna.

A paver or curb can weigh up to 150 kilograms. In 2019, the city of Vienna handled 433 road construction works and coordinated 8,760 excavations in public spaces.

In today’s municipal council election, parties are fighting for 100 seats. This time there are nine lists in Vienna: SPÖ, FPÖ, Greens, ÖVP, Neos, Team HC Strache, Links, SÖZ and the beer festival.

The average rent including operating expenses per apartment (subsidized and considered jointly privately) in the previous year was 554.6 euros. In relation to the square meter, they are 8.4 euros.
