Police are investigating an unknown person who devastated the monument to the victims of the terrorist attack in the center of Vienna. The evaluation of the images from a video camera is in progress.
A monument to the victims of the attack in central Vienna has apparently been devastated. A video leaked to heute.at and krone.at shows a burly person knocking down the lights in memory of the murdered in Seitenstettengasse with rather awkward kicks. The first images of the disfigured site were posted by NEOS chief Beate Meinl-Reisinger during the day. His father had noticed the devastation during a visit.

Police were still busy with investigations Sunday. Only after evaluating the images from a video camera did they want to comment, probably not until Monday. At first it was speculated that the stormy wind might have wreaked havoc. Meanwhile, the commemorative lights have been rearranged.
