It’s fast: after the announced separation from Sebastian Vettel, Ferrari already seems to have found a successor for the German.

Like total motorsports. com and Formula 1 expert Gerald Enzinger report that the Spaniard Carlos Sainz, 25, will move to the Scuderia. An announcement should occur this week, possibly Thursday.

And it could be a change of cabin. In return, Vettel should switch to McLaren. As Enzinger writes in his block “motorprofis.at”, Vettel should sign a one-year contract with the British.

Sainz sen. wants clarity quickly

The “Carlos Sainz” staff is highly debated in the Spanish media. Carlos Sainz told the television station “Movistar” that he could “say little”, but it was clear “that things would get going.”

The former world rally champion and Dakar winner is sure that sooner or later there will be clarity. “The situation with these rumors and stories can no longer last two months,” the Spaniard wants a quick end to the rumor mill.

The move to Ferrari would be logical for Sainz. “Life doesn’t stop. Either you stagnate or you continue to develop. As far as I can tell as a parent, your goal is to continue to develop as you did last year.”

Upon request, Ferrari and McLaren informed the German press agency on Wednesday that there was no comment on the speculation.
