In just one night, 299 speed drivers were caught in Wels and the Wels-Land district in a focal action by the police in Upper Austria. The lead runner was a driver traveling in a range of 100 to 168 kilometers per hour. Another driver was driving 150 kilometers per hour on a 70 restriction, police said. Four drivers had to surrender their driving license.
A third alarming peak was 109 km / h in the local area. The control focused entirely on the tuning and speed of the vehicle in and around the Wels area. A glider that was measured in Marchtrenk at a restriction of 70 with 150 km / h had an additional 1.18 per thousand alcohol in the blood. In all, the police captured five alcoholics and a drug driver.
