The current president of the United States, Trump, still complains that his electoral victory was “stolen” by fraud. Now his own Minister of Justice contradicts him.
According to Minister William Barr, the US Department of Justice has so far not had any evidence of the allegations made by US President Donald Trump. Trump’s lawyers rejected Barr’s version. Trump’s attorneys, Rudy Giuliani and Jenna Ellis, announced Tuesday that “there was no trace” of an investigation by the Justice Department. “We have gathered extensive evidence of illegal voting in at least six states.”
The ministry did not review this evidence and testimony, he said. Barr appears to have made up his mind “without any knowledge or investigation of the substantial wrongdoing and evidence of systematic fraud.” Barr told the AP that prosecutors and federal FBI investigators were investigating allegations related to the election. But they would not have found any evidence that would have changed the outcome. Barr is considered a close ally of Trump. The US media reported that the minister was in the White House on Tuesday.

About three weeks ago, Barr had given prosecutors permission to review the allegations. Electoral fraud to be investigated before the final results are announced.
