ServusTV has been a new free television partner of the European Football Union (UEFA) for three years and will broadcast a total of 33 live games from the Champions League, the Europa League and the newly founded Conference of Europe League per season starting in the summer of 2021. This was announced by the Salzburg-based national private station in a broadcast on Thursday.
“This is unique in Europe and we are happy about it! The UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League combined on a free TV channel are only available on ServusTV,” emphasized station director Ferdinand Wegscheider.
The best Champions League games on ServusTV
The rights package includes group stage matches, the best games in the knockout round and the final matches of the three competitions. In the Champions League, ServusTV has the appropriate primary selection for Wednesday’s games, for the Europa League and the Europa Conference League, which will take place for the first time in 2021/22, the main selection in each round.
Premier class again on free TV
Soccer fans can also expect numerous highlights and magazines around the three competitions. All ServusTV live games will be available in the media library after streaming.
Since the 2018/19 season, the Champions League has only been seen exclusively in Austria against payment. In the upcoming season, Puls 4 will continue to be the Austrian partner for UEFA free television for the upcoming season, before ServusTV can showcase the best European football of the three European Cup competitions on broadcast television until 2023/24 inclusive .
