Four people died after the attack in Vienna

Sad conclusion: the 20-year-old killer shot a total of four people in his attack on Monday night in Vienna. Now their identities are known.
The fatalities are a 39-year-old Austrian, a 44-year-old Austrian and two foreign nationals: a 24-year-old German and a 21-year-old Macedonian. A total of 13 other victims suffered gunshot wounds, said Manfred Reinthaler, head of the APA Vienna police press office on Wednesday.

The 24-year-old was a waitress, she was shot outside a restaurant on Ruprechtsplatz. The 21-year-old Macedonian was shot at the corner of the meat market and the farmers market, the 39-year-old Austrian in front of a fast food restaurant on Schwedenplatz. In addition, a 44-year-old woman died from her gunshot wounds in hospital.
Wounded after the attack
Authorities counted another 23 injured between the ages of 21 and 43. According to Reinthaler, there are seven women among them. 13 injured, including the 28-year-old policeman, suffered gunshot wounds, the others were injured, for example, by splinters or on the run.
Most of the injured are Austria, but there are also citizens of Germany, Slovakia, Luxembourg, Afghanistan, Bosnia and Herzegovina among them. According to the police spokesman, a large number of the injured have already been taken home. According to the Vienna Health Association, three injured people were treated in intensive care units on Wednesday, their condition was stable. Another ten affected people were treated in normal rooms.
