The Bundesgymnasium Zaunergasse in the city of Salzburg has been officially closed due to various corona infections.
Due to the massive advance of the corona pandemic, the health authority of the city of Salzburg will close the Zaunergasse secondary school on Tuesday, October 20. The Directorate of Education has been informed of this drastic step four days before the start of the fall holidays.
More than 350 students and teachers from BG Zaunergasse are affected as contact persons, around 80 of whom have already received a notice of separation. The triggers were four positive cases of Covid-19, two teachers and two students. The teachers had taught in a total of seven classes, the students had been taught in four other classes together and in gymnastics with others.
“The normal operation of the school” is out of the question
