A road accident with a car hauler on Pyhrnautobahn in Wartberg an der Krems (Kirchdorf an der Krems district) ended with a proper tin salad on Wednesday evening.
The accident occurred on the Pyhrn highway in the direction of Graz, in the municipality of Wartberg an der Krems. The driver of a car that had a trailer coupled with two vehicles lost control of the vehicle combination for a previously unknown cause. After the vehicle was thrown across the road and collided with the guardrail, the trailer rolled over. A loaded car came loose and stopped lying on the roof, the trailer with the second loaded car lying on its side. The car pulling the trailer was also seriously damaged. The emergency services were alerted to a traffic accident with a trapped person. Fortunately, upon reaching the place, it turned out that fortunately there were no people in the car on the roof. No one was injured in the accident, but there was considerable material damage. The fire brigade actively supported the requested towing company, which was in action with several towing vehicles to be able to transport the damaged vehicles away from the accident site.
The Pyhrnautobahn was closed to traffic for about three hours in the direction of Graz between the Ried im Traunkreis exit and Inzersdorf im Kremstal.
