Police officers from Enns (Linz-Land district) arrested two commercial thieves who allegedly stole building materials for facades and plastering work in 21 cases in Upper and Lower Austria in mid-June 2020. The Bosnians, aged 33 and 39 years old, they rented a van and took tons of loot early in the morning or late at night, much of which was confiscated from a warehouse near Hörsching. The rest had already been sold, according to police.
In the bag shop, the researchers found about 200 packages of facade insulation panels, several thousand complete thermal insulation anchors, dozens of rolls of glass cloth and edge protection profiles, about 240 bags of adhesive filler, 120 buckets with plaster, several pallets of bituminous sheets and more than 100 ceiling supports.
During their questioning, the suspects cited gambling debts and drug use as motives. According to their statements, they had robbed on behalf of a 34-year-old compatriot from the Linz-Land district. He has also been arrested in the meantime. A 45-year-old Bosnian from the Vöcklabruck district who has been in Austria illegally since 2014 and who has financed his life from illegal work, police said, helped the duo with the raids. He was arrested for violating the regulations of the foreign police. Until the end of the investigation in early October, the two main suspects were in custody.
