The #beliefandich Challenge, Austria’s largest startup competition, is entering the next round and will take place on the second launch day in Salzburg. On Wednesday April 8, the event will take place at the Mayday Bar in Hangar 7 in Salzburg.

The winning startup will compete on May 11 in Vienna against the winners of the other federal states for the title “Startup of the Year 2021” and prizes worth more than 100,000 euros.

Styrian fashion startup sanSirro wants to convince with the smart sports shirt QUS BODY CONNECTED, which uses sensors to record the vital and geographical data of the users. Washable fabric should revolutionize the world of fitness.

The young Tyrolean company Bobsla develops electrically powered snowmobiles. The startup describes its machines as “karts in the snow.” Sports enthusiasts should be able to offer hot runs with sustainable partners in ski areas.

For Sports is a Burgenland startup that aims to take training for sports like soccer to the next level with so-called reaction pads. Touchpads on the floor specify certain sequences of movement and thus make the exercises more and more intense. Users can also compete with friends or stars through an online platform.

The Lower Austrian startup Lympik develops measurement and analysis systems for a wide variety of sports such as skiing or athletics. With sensors, athletes can measure their speed and transmit the results directly to their cell phones.

Linz’s startup Skillyard wants to help you find the right sports coach. A digital platform should make it possible to find the right trainer nearby. Users can communicate with their coach through text, audio or video messages. Through individual counseling, they must learn exactly the skills they want.

Viennese tech startup VR Motion Learning offers clients virtual sports training with the “Tennis Esports” app. With virtual reality glasses, athletes should also be able to play tennis from home. The realistic behavior of the ball should allow for a credible experience. Users can also compare themselves with others at a distance.

Wireless tattoo machines that users can control via an app – this is the concept of the “Blackgold Tattoo Systems” project of the Viennese company TCA Systems. The developers want the needle to be especially safe for tattoo enthusiasts with a protective cover. The Bluetooth control is designed to offer particularly precise work on body art.

The startups will once again compete in front of a first-rate jury. This decides which young company will make it to the final of the #beliefandich Challenge. The members of the jury are:

The jury will decide live on site which of the 7 startups will reach the final of the #beliefandich Challenge as the best project in the country’s industry. The final winner expects 1,000 euros and, of course, advancement to the final!
