The 71st Vienna Medical Salon, which should have taken place on January 30, 2021, has been canceled. The reason given by the organizers is that the organization of the ball is not possible in the given circumstances.
“It is not easy for us to cancel the doctor’s ball, which is undoubtedly one of the highlights of the Austrian ball season. The corona pandemic and the upcoming potential additional corona waves in the fall and winter, which will present our country with new challenges in relation to the upcoming flu season, compel us, as medical professionals, to act responsibly and take this step. Says Thomas Szekeres, president of the Vienna Medical Association.

In addition to the Vienna Medical Ball, the Styrian Spring has already been canceled for next spring. Organization is also not possible here due to the restrictions caused by Corona.
