The police broke up the “Crown Madness” demonstration in central Vienna.

A demonstration against the crown measures took place in the center of Vienna on Sunday. Since the participants failed to adhere to applicable Covid regulations despite repeated requests, the rally was eventually disbanded.
On Sunday noon, a demonstration titled “Coronawahnsinn” took place at Herbert-von-Karajan-Platz in central Vienna. During the course of the meeting, the police repeatedly called on the participants over loudspeakers to comply with the crown measures.
Demonstration in Vienna: 38 reports for violations of Covid measures
As almost no one complied with the requests, the anti-crown demonstration broke up around 1:45 pm after consulting with the health authority.
Some participants in the demonstration then went to the Federal Chancellery and Heldenplatz, where the participants left without incident. There were a total of 38 reports under the COVID-19 Measures Regulation, one report under the Vienna State Security Law, and one body mandate under the Epidemic Law.
