Quentin Fillon Maillet won the chase at Hochfilzen with a masterful performance on the shooting range and on the cross-country ski trail.

Johannes Dale fulfilled a childhood dream with his first World Cup victory on Friday. The next day, the 23-year-old was chasing the hunted. The Norwegian managed perfectly with this starting position, although he could not repeat his success the day before. Quentin Fillon Maillet, the second of the sprint, snatched it under his nose.

Strong french

With the snow onset and almost no wind, Dale took a penalty in first position face down and was overtaken by Fillon Maillet. For his part, the Frenchman did not let anything burn, so he overturned all the windows. And since only a few could hold a candle to him on the way, he prevailed over his compatriot Emilien Jacquelin (also without error). Behind them Sebastian Samuelsson and Dale battled for third place, which the Norwegian was finally able to claim for himself. Johannes Thingnes Bø, however, failed three times and was “only” fourth.

Lukas Hofer showed a strong reaction to the completely failed sprint (50th place). If the Montaler had missed five times on Friday, it only left one target in hot pursuit. Coupled with a good race time, this ultimately meant 17th place. Dominik Windisch, on the other hand, does not get going after his falsely positive Corona test: Six errors were enough for him at the end of the field.

The result:
