Schallenberg returns to the office
Hofer is the “K1” contact person through his wife.

The head of the FPÖ, Norbert Hofer, will be in home quarantine until the end of next week as a contact person for category “K1”. The reason is a positive corona test performed by his wife, who works as a geriatric nurse at the Oberwart District Nursing Home in which several people recently tested positive for the corona virus. The FPÖ announced it in a broadcast on Tuesday. According to media reports, a total of 54 people are said to have been affected by this outbreak.
Hofer and his daughter were classified as family members of the household as Category 1 contacts. A PCR test will be conducted in Hofer in the next few days, according to the FPÖ. “At this point, I would like to thank and respect all employees at the Austrian health and care facilities,” Hofer said, according to the press release. “Despite the pandemic, they are serving the sick, the elderly and those in need of care in difficult circumstances. Their contribution to society is excellent, selfless and selfless.”
Schallenberg back to the ministry
Chancellor Alexander Schallenberg (ÖVP) will resume his activities at the Foreign Ministry from Wednesday after his crown illness. After a new test earlier in the week, health authorities announced that he could leave the house in quarantine, the State Department reported on Tuesday. Schallenberg will attend the first international meeting at the virtual OECD Council of Ministers on Thursday.
Schallenberg had tested positive for the corona virus on October 17. His spokesman said he had no symptoms in the following days and consequently did not need any treatment.
