Dornbirn City Hospital is at its limit. There are no more intensive care beds available, they are all occupied.

As reported by “vol.at” on Sunday, the situation for the crown in Vorarlberg is now dramatic. There have been no free intensive care beds at Dornbirn city hospital since Sunday. This was confirmed by Mayor Andrea Kaufmann (ÖVP). Now state hospitals have to step in if there is a further increase in intensive care cases.

“We have eight beds in the intensive care unit and half of them are occupied by Covid 19 patients,” Kaufmann told the web portal. “Also, we have 15 more Covid patients and 11 more suspicious cases in the normal room. We will now clean the entire seventh floor for Covid-19 patients,” Kaufmann said.

According to the report, 22 of the 51 intensive care beds in Vorarlberg hospitals managed by the hospital’s operating company are currently occupied by corona patients. Eight more people with other medical conditions.
