The driver, an 18-year-old from the Steyr-Land district, drove her car around 8:10 pm on Großraminger Landesstraße towards Großraming. Her friend of the same age, who also comes from Steyr-Land, was sitting in the passenger seat.
Shortly after the intersection with Kleinraminger Landesstraße, the young woman lost control of the car on a winding road. The car veered off the road to the right, into a meadow, and rolled over twice. Then the vehicle slid further and hit the side of a farmhouse wall.
The two 18-year-olds suffered injuries of indefinite degree and were taken to Steyr Hospital. The Maria Neustift fire brigade was on duty for two hours with 25 members. For firefighters, it was the third time they had been involved in a traffic accident in 48 hours.
