The mother (81) was in a clinch with the son (46), who lived with her on the big farm in Kronstorf and managed it after the father died 19 years ago, for years. There was a lot of controversy over family planning: The 81-year-old man wanted an heir for the farm, but the 46-year-old man had not found a woman.

Rifle brought from the room

On Friday and Saturday night, the dispute turned into violence. The son is said to have received his small-caliber rifle shortly after midnight and shot the 81-year-old mother twice in the head and neck. The woman died on the spot, then dialed the police emergency number, confessed to the crime, and was arrested without resistance.

The man is totally confessed

The man was also confessed to police questioning. The mother’s body must undergo an autopsy. The man was taken to Garsten prison after questioning and after consulting with the Steyr prosecution. He’s under investigation for murder.
