Terrorist attack: Were the national churches attacked?

Around 50 mobile phones were seized from the 10 terrorism suspects associated with the Vienna attack. That at least would indicate that the men did not just drink tea, as they have been claiming so far. This is the number of cell phones that are typically discovered when someone is involved in conspiracy conversations, according to researchers. These devices are now being evaluated, but this could take a few more weeks.

So far, according to Nehammer, there have been hundreds of clues. Research has shown that churches must also be attacked. These are now increasingly protected, for example, by the Office for the Protection of the Constitution, but also by the Cobra. The officers will be partly concealed and partly in service uniform.

Ruprechtskirche

Apparently the killer wanted to get to the Ruprechtskirche as well, but failed due to a closed door (and a timer). However, this finding is not new and has been known for weeks. No details were given as to whether there were more indications; there was no concrete information at the press conference. Nehammer referred to the prosecution when asked.

The interior minister warned of possible copycats. He asked the population to alert the police if they made suspicious observations.

Due to Corona, the press conference was moved out of Minoritenplatz.
