Terror: two arrests in St. Pölten

In connection with the terrorist attack in the center of Vienna, police operations have also been carried out in Lower Austria since early Tuesday morning. At various contact addresses of the alleged killer (20) on Fuhrmannsgasse in St. Pölten and in an apartment block in front of the hospital, the apartments were overturned by special forces. As the police confirmed the residents’ eyewitness reports, there were two arrests.

Heavily armed Cobra officials searched the premises together with the State Office for the Protection of the Constitution and Counterterrorism. There was no resistance from residents, confirmed a senior official. Crime scene investigators from the Lower Austrian State Criminal Police Office are busy gathering evidence and obtaining evidence.

“At half past four in the morning, a special police unit suddenly appeared in the courtyard. I think this has something to do with the terrorist attack in Vienna,” says a resident of the complex on Fuhrmannsgasse, who wants to stay in anonymity.
