In broad daylight there was a knife fight in central Vienna on Wednesday. A 14-year-old boy was seriously injured.
In Neubaugasse (Vienna-Neubau) there was a fight between the young people on Wednesday afternoon, with a 14-year-old trying to resolve the dispute on the sidewalk. A man of the same age is said to have stabbed him in the back with a knife and fled.
The search for 14-year-olds continues
The injured boy received emergency medical care on the scene by the emergency services of the Vienna Professional Rescue Service and was later transferred to a hospital by rescue helicopter. There was no danger of death.
The 16-year-old originally involved in the dispute was not injured. The suspect is known by name to the police and is currently being wanted. The investigation continues.
