German second division club SV Sandhausen released goalkeeper Martin Fraisl on Monday with immediate effect. The Vienna native is said to have attracted attention in the locker room in immediate preparation for the game against Holstein Kiel (0: 2) on Sunday. “It is a disciplinary measure. Unfortunately, the limits of respect have been exceeded. The fact is that Martin will no longer play for SV Sandhausen,” explains SVS President Jürgen Machmeier.
According to media reports, there was almost an assault on an unidentified person. It’s been a major setback for the 27-year-old’s career after things have dramatically increased lately. Fraisl had played all 35 competitive matches for Sandhausen throughout the distance last season, as well as the first 12 matches of the current season. This made it interesting for ÖFB team boss Franco Foda, who put him on the team roster twice in the fall.
His displeasure could be related to the fact that he was benched for the second time in a row by coach Michael Schiele, preferred to Rick Wulle. Fraisl’s contract with table 16 threatened by decline, for whom he has been working since the summer of 2019, is scheduled until June 30, 2022.
Fraisl’s exemption is not the only problem causing displeasure. Due to the current crisis in the crown, many employees in the office have returned to short-time work since January. However, Machmeier hopes that the SVS can reinforce its professional team during the winter break: “We have to have 1.8 million euros less television revenue.
