A Bosnian truck driver was about to unload his cargo in Upper Austria when four young men suddenly jumped out of his truck and fled.
The 66-year-old Bosnian truck driver drove his truck and trailer from his home country to Eggelsberg in the Braunau am Inn district on Thursday. At their destination, a company in St. Georgen am Fillmannbach finally wanted to unload their cargo.
In the presence of a 51-year-old forklift driver, he opened the trailer tarp. What happened next took the two men by surprise: four strangers jumped out and fled in the direction of Eggelsberg.
Asylum application
However, the escape of the strangers was short-lived. The forklift driver immediately called the police and a patrol running to the scene was able to pick up the four suspects off Lamprechtshausener Strasse B156.
During the identity check it turned out that they had entered Austria illegally. The four Afghan men between the ages of 17 and 22 were later detained by the police. During the detention, the four young men applied for asylum.
