Stefan showed up in qualifying on New Years Eve Kraft with 137 m in strong form. With 136.1 points, it was enough for fourth place behind Slovenian Anze Lanisek (139 m / 138.6 points), Norwegian Halvor Egner Granerud (143 / 138.1) and German Markus Eisenbichler (135.5 / 137 , 9)).
Michael Hayböck landed in 12th place, Daniel Huber in 15th, Philipp Aschenwald in 23rd, Markus Schiffner in 28th, Jan Hörl in 41st and Thomas Lackner in 46th.
Last year’s winner, Marius Lindvik, who traveled to Innsbruck to see a doctor due to a severe toothache, was not at the top of qualifying. The Norwegian finished third in the opening competition.
