The number of people actively infected with Covid-19 is still well below the national average in the state of Salzburg. However, for about ten days, a slight upward trend has been seen in almost all districts, an analysis of state statistics shows. By far the largest increase can be seen in the city of Salzburg.
“You could already see a slight upward trend in the number of cases in the central area since mid-July, but the dynamism has increased somewhat in recent days. In the other districts, the number of active cases continues to increase only slightly, ”says state statistician Gernot Filipp.
There are currently 168 actively infected people in Salzburg.
So far (as of September 17, 11:30 a.m.), 1,865 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Salzburg. 168 people are actively infected in the state, 79 of them in the city of Salzburg, 27 in Flachgau, 23 in Pongau and Pinzgau, 13 in Tennengau and three in Lungau. In terms of active cases per 100,000 inhabitants, the city of Salzburg leads the way with 51.0, 28.3 in Pongau, 26.2 in Pinzgau, 21.4 in Tennengau, 17.6 in Flachgau and 14.8 in Lungau. The national average here is 30.1.
