Juliane Bogner-Strauß, under Turquoise Blue Family Minister, has now taken over the educational agendas in Styria. In a letter to the parents, she made eleven (!) Mistakes herself.
Bogner-Strauß: “Great challenges”
In that letter to parents and legal guardians, he made reference to the crown crisis in Austria and stated that it was dry as dust that the current situation was a great challenge for all of us. “This,” says Bogner-Strauß, “also includes work and family compatibility.”
Eleven errors in 17 lines
These first two empty sentences are still accident-free, the next five paragraphs are riddled with misspellings and commas. There are a total of eleven, not including word repetitions. What is particularly striking: courtesy, sorry, polite form, the lady obviously does not have it like this: eight typographical errors return to the lowercase pronouns.
Parents are stigmatized
The passage is a great nuisance to many parents who have to return to work or keep a cool head in their home office, according to the Styrian State Board of Education, that children should be cared for “as much as possible at home” . Bogner-Strauß therefore asks “not to take this offer lightly”. The political vice president doesn’t seem to have much to do with the fact that, particularly in the country, where everyone knows everyone, parents who bring their children to daycare are stigmatized. “Falter” journalist Barbara Tóth picked up the letter on Twitter and also criticized the lack of uniformity in Austria: “This is what it looks like if there are no mandatory national standards for crown care in kindergarten.”
