School only starts on January 11, after student and teacher testing. VOL.AT asked for Dornbirn.
After Christmas, regular school operations begin on January 11. The goal is to provide school children, parents and teachers the opportunity to be tested for a coronavirus infection on January 7 and 8.
But how does Vorarlbergers think about the postponed start of school? In an unrepresentative survey in Dornbirn, the majority of respondents said the measure only made sense.
Safety after the test
After all, one of the respondents said there was some degree of security after testing. According to one participant, their son is a doctor and therefore knows how useful tests are. It’s also fair to members of risk groups if you take the test, because you need to protect them too. However, some survey participants view the postponement of the start of school for a week as critical: Students have already missed enough regular classes due to Covid-19 and still have a lot to catch up on. A late start to school is not beneficial here.
