RIED (zema). The Vikings are defeated by Sturm Graz
On matchday five of the typical Bundesliga, SV Guntamatic Ried is defeated by SK Puntigamer Sturm Graz with 0: 2. Stefan Hierländer (9th) put the Styrians in front before Ivan Ljubic (78th) made the final score.
In contrast to the narrow cup match against RZ Pellets Wolfsberg, SVR head coach Gerald Baumgartner changed his team by a total of four positions. Daniel Daniliuc moved up to Samuel Sahin-Radlinger’s starting lineup. Valentin Grubeck replaced Markus Lackner. Instead of Julian Wießmeier, Marcel Canadi was allowed to play from the start this time around and Murat Satin was in the starting lineup that day in place of Marco Grüll.
The black-green starts better in the match
Both teams fought exciting duels in the opening minutes and fought for every inch, although not everything was a success in the game. The Upper Austria reserved the first opportunity in the still young game. After a remarkable presentation, the ball landed on Saddam Sulley (1st), who nevertheless clearly placed the playing team next to the Graz case. A few moments later, things turned hot again in front of the Styrian box. Valentin Grubeck (3rd) came in from a promising position completely free to head, but the round clearly landed on the side of the cornered.
Stefan Hierländer puts the Styrians in front
In the 9th minute of the game, the “Blackies” officials who had traveled with them were able to cheer for the first time. After a regrettable loss of the ball by the Vikings, the ball landed at the feet of Stefan Hierländer. The storm kicker took off immediately and volleyed the round leather into the mesh to create a one goal lead. In the following minutes, both SV Guntamatic Ried and SK Sturm Graz were able to register punctures, but it was not really necessary on either side. Until minute 22 of the game: Stefan Nutz’s center did not find any catchers.
Both teams are fighting, but scoring opportunities are rare
As a result, both teams acted extremely agile in the game, but since both defensive chains were very compact, both offensive rows had their great effort and need to create concrete chances. In the 34th minute, however, Christian Ilzer’s men were convincing again. Stefan Hierländer’s long-range shot missed SVR’s area by a hair. On the other hand, Constantin Reiner (39th) could barely accommodate Stefan Nutz’s entrance in the corner. Shortly before the halftime whistle, Graz found another great opportunity. Jakob Jantscher’s finish (44th) simply went over the SVR box.
Baumgartner-Elf is getting better
The SV Guntamatic Ried got into the cockpit well. Saddam Sulley (49th) took the first title in the second round. In the 51st minute of the game, Jakob Jantscher shot from a promising position, but the shot lacked power. The protégés of SVR head coach Gerald Baumgartner grew more aggressive minute by minute and were almost rewarded for it. After the guests unnecessarily fumbled the ball, the Vikings started a quick play and circled the ball into the danger zone worth seeing, but Styria’s defensive chain acted awake and pushed the round leather out of the penalty area.
Ivan Ljubic extends his leadership
After 67 minutes it became turbulent. After a foul on Kevin Friesenbichler, Constantin Reiner was sent off by referee Harald Lechner with a direct red card. Four minutes later, Andreas Kuen (71.) perked up from about 20 meters and walked away, but found his teacher in SVR goalkeeper Daniel Daniliuc. In the 78th minute of the game, the black and white kickers scored the next goal. Following a rebound from Daniliuc, Ivan Ljubic pushed the ball over the line smoothly to create a two-goal lead. Upper Austria tried to put their stamp on the game, but coach Christian Ilzer’s team acted extremely smartly, so Innviertler was barely able to record scoring chances. However, shortly before the end of the game, the Rieder became mandatory again. Marcel Ziegl’s conclusion (90 + 3.), however, clearly bypassed the Graz case.
