National Council meeting on Tuesday
Health Minister Rudolf Anschober (Greens) ‘s new crown ordinance “is currently being finalized,” the ministry said Sunday. The meeting of the main commission of the National Council takes place on Tuesday morning, where exit restrictions must be approved by a majority. As usual, the draft ordinance will be sent to all parliamentary clubs in advance, said a spokesman for the APA department.
The regulation sets out the new drastic measures that the government announced on Friday. The ordinance is only officially announced after the decision in the main committee, which is secured by the turquoise-green majority.
New incentive for mass testing
According to announced plans, the shutdown will last until January 17, but only for those participating in the second round of mass testing (January 15-17). Tested people enjoy more freedom and are allowed to visit restaurants again.
Anyone who doesn’t take a “free trial” will be affected by the full contact restrictions for one more week until January 24. In this case, you can only leave the living room for known reasons (such as shopping, working, helping those in need, or staying or exercising outside).
The trade is completely closed during the shutdown until January 17 and, like during the previous shutdown, only basic vendors (such as grocery stores or pharmacies) remain open. Personal service providers, like hairdressers, also have to close.
Countries can decide on the ski operation
In schools, after the holidays, which last until January 7, only distance classes continue until January 17. The culture, gastronomy and accommodation businesses will also remain closed. However, the federal states are free to allow skiing from December 24.
New Year’s Eve will also be a victim of the pandemic this year and it will be very quiet. As of December 26, only two households are allowed to meet, but only one person in a household can meet with multiple other household members.
