Tirol / Carinthia. In Tyrol, 3,500 households were without power on Sunday morning due to falling trees on power lines. 22 communities were affected, and not only in East Tyrol, but also in North Tyrol, from the Brenner to the Wipptal and the Ötztal. There a 110 kV line could be repaired in the morning. Previously, 7,000 homes were without power. Landslides were reported in the affected East Tyrol, ie in Nussdorf-Debant. Several houses were damaged. Fire brigades also acted in Leisach, Dölsach and Nikolsdorf.

More than a meter of snow in Carinthia
Heavy rains also left their mark on North Tyrol. So there was a landslide in Kolsassberg. A road was buried in the process. In addition, heavy snowfall also led to road closures. For example, the Ötztalstrasse between Umhausen and Längenfeld was narrow.
Problems also arose in rail traffic: rail traffic was not possible on the Brenner route between Steinach and Brenner or at the Karwendelbahn.

Carinthia. In the west of the country there was a high risk of avalanches with alert level 4 in the Gailtal and Carnic Alps and Hohe Tauern. Many mountain roads were only passable with snow chains or were blocked, including the Plöckenpass or access to the Lesachtal. It rained like torrential rain in the Klagenfurt basin.
The road over the Plöckenpass and towards Lesachtal was closed from Kötschach-Mauthen due to the danger of avalanches. There was heavy snowfall, especially in Upper Gail Valley and Lesach Valley. Sometimes the depth of the snow increased to more than a meter.
