In Alta Badia, this Monday, three days before Christmas, the men’s slalom world cup season starts very late.

The long-awaited prelude also marks the end of the World Cup stage in Val Gardena and Alta Badia, where the ski circus has already put on the big show for the last three days. Alexis Pinturault was responsible for the biggest show on Sunday, leaving behind all the competitors in the giant slalom. The Frenchman will open the slalom with number one, followed by his compatriot Noel Clement and the two Norwegians Henrik Kristoffersen and Sebastian Foss-Solevaag.
Alex Vinatzer will be the first Azzurro to participate in the race with starting number ten. The other two local heroes from South Tyrol, Manfred Mölgg and Simon Maurberger, are respectively ranked 18th and 19th. Stefano Gross from Trentino has the 27th start, while Enneberger’s 21-year-old Tobias Kastlunger is 65. Riccardo Tonetti is not is at the start of the slalom.
